From avoidance to forward movement.

For families with anxious, avoidant teens

Break the patterns that keep your family stuck and build meaningful progress in school, relationships, independence, and daily life.

A 90-day coaching program for parents and teens. Virtual, nationwide.

The real challenge

The problem usually isn’t knowing what to do.

It’s being able to do it when anxiety is high.

You’ve probably done a lot already. Therapy. School meetings. A 504 plan. Books, podcasts, a folder of strategies. You understand anxiety better than most people ever will.

Then it’s 7:15 on a school morning. Your teen is upstairs saying they can’t go. And in that moment, everything you know is competing with a very loud pull toward whatever will make the next ten minutes easier.

That moment is where most families get stuck. It’s also where we do our work.

Does this sound familiar?

You might recognize yourselves here

Your teen isn’t going to school, or getting them there has become a daily battle

Therapy is happening, but life still isn’t working at home or school

Your teen is withdrawing, isolating, or avoiding things they used to do

You know what you’re supposed to do, but it falls apart in the hard moments

You’re carrying the emotional and logistical load for everyone

How we help

We are the implementation layer.

Parents often already have advice, therapy recommendations, school plans, and strategies. The breakdown happens in the real moment, when your teen is distressed, anxiety is high, and the whole family is pulled toward short-term relief. Choice Point helps you know what to do next and actually carry it out.

Clear next stepsYou always know the next doable step, not just the end goal.
Practical frameworksSimple tools you can use at 7:15 AM, not just in a session.
Real-time supportHelp between sessions, when the hard moment is actually happening.
AccountabilitySomeone in your corner helping you stay consistent.
In-the-moment coachingCoaching that helps you respond differently in the moments that matter.

Parents become more confident and consistent. Teens begin taking meaningful steps forward. Life gets bigger instead of smaller.

What families say

In their words

“Our child never could have accessed school and made it through the door without Sheree’s experience and support. I’ll never forget her coaching- both for me as a parent and for my child- during those dark days of school avoidance, separation anxiety, OCD, and more. Sometimes just getting through the school door really is more than half the battle. Baby steps matter. Families who need this support should absolutely reach out.”

“Choice Point has been fantastic for our family. We were having difficulty getting our teenage son to wake up in the mornings, doing/starting anything on his own, or even just getting him to want to learn how to drive. Sheree and her team have been so patient with all of us. She listened to my concerns, struggles and goals and was able to set up an achievable 90 day plan. We’re currently in the middle of it and have seen such improvement not just in our family life, but also, our son has grown so much. He has his own coach that meets with him twice a week and with Joann’s help, his self-esteem has grown so much. He gets himself up in the mornings and drives to and from school. He joined a school club, has barely had any late assignments (no missing assignments at all!), started asking his friends to hang out and is even preparing to apply for dual college enrollment through his High School. I think the best part of this program so far has been that Sheree was able to give my husband and I new tools on how to be better parents to a teen. With her help, we are all more relaxed and my son hangs out more in the same space with us again. We are having a lot less arguments and are able to be confident in setting clear expectations. We would definitely recommend this program to any struggling families.”

Where this leads

What forward movement can look like

The goal isn’t a teen with no anxiety. It’s a teen whose world starts getting bigger again.

Families we work with aim for progress in four areas:

SchoolGetting through the door more often, one step at a time.
RelationshipsSeeing friends again, even when it feels uncomfortable.
IndependenceDoing more on their own, with less managing from you.
Daily lifeCalmer mornings, fewer standoffs, a household that isn’t run by anxiety.

Every family’s progress looks different. These are examples of the progress families work toward, not guaranteed results.

Is this you?

This is for families who

Are ready to start moving forward, not just talk about it.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from therapy?

Choice Point Coaching is not a replacement for therapy. Many families come to us already engaged in therapy, and coaching bridges insight into daily life: school mornings, transitions, and the moments when avoidance shows up. Therapy builds insight. Coaching helps life work.

Who is this coaching a good fit for?

Families whose lives are being actively disrupted by anxiety or avoidance. It’s often a strong fit if your child is missing school, parents are carrying the emotional and logistical load, and therapy has helped but daily functioning is still hard.

What if my child is resistant?

This is very common, and it doesn’t mean coaching won’t help. Much of our work focuses on reducing power struggles and shifting parent-child dynamics. Progress often begins with changes in the system, not immediate buy-in from your teen.

How long is the program?

Choice Point is a 90-day coaching program. Ninety days gives your family time to practice responding differently in the hard moments, consistently, in real life. The goal is meaningful, sustainable change, not quick fixes.
